Many people absorb information by reading one word or even one syllable at a time. With this training, I have spent my entire life reading a line of text, automatically starting about an inch from the edge and reading the line in three glances. You can absorb more than one word at a time. It just takes practice. My best recommendation for learning to read faster is to train your brain to recognize “word shapes.” We have amazing technology these days. For example, find out how how long to read 300 pages. I love learning, I love the process, the benefit, the results, the power – it’s a lifelong passion. A voracious curiosity. Respect for thinkers, poets, musicians, artists, masters of language. To process information “well,” I suspect you have to love everything that has to do with learning.
My reading speed has more than tripled. I soak up words like a sponge. Words speak to me... Language has an inner rhythm and music, numbers have an exquisitely constructed elegance; the beauty is captivating.
